Fresh Twist As Wike Speaks On Giving Out Eagle Square To Protesters For Usage After Earlier Warning On Protest

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike has stated that he has not yet received a letter requesting the use of Eagle Square for a planned protest set to begin on August 1.

Speaking on Saturday at a town hall meeting with key stakeholders in the FCT ahead of the demonstrations, tagged the #EndBadGovernance protest, Wike mentioned that no formal request had been made to his office for the use of Eagle Square.

He emphasized that protesters should not rely solely on social media to communicate their intentions to his office and advised them to use the appropriate channels for such requests.

Wike had previously issued a warning against the protest.
