Senate President Godswill Akpabio made light of those advocating for protests over the economic hardship in the country, saying, “Those interested in the protest can go ahead, but let us be there eating.”
Akpabio made the remarks during an event organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on Tuesday in Rivers State.
His comments came in response to the planned protests set to begin on August 1 and continue until August 10.
