Former PDP Presidential Aspirant Joins APC

Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu on Saturday welcomed Dr. Cosmos Ndukwe, a former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.

The event occurred in Ward C, Akanu Item in Awuja Autonomous Community, Bende Local Government Area, during the Deputy Speaker’s tour of electoral wards within his Bende federal constituency.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Levinus Nwabughiogu, highlighted that Ndukwe had served as a councillor, vice chairman of Aba North Local Government Area, Chief of Staff to former Governor T. A. Orji, Commissioner, Deputy Speaker of Abia State, and as a presidential aspirant in the 2023 general election.

Kalu praised Ndukwe’s decision to join the APC, emphasizing that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party is committed to the development of the South East region.

Ndukwe stated that his decision to join the APC was motivated by a desire to support President Tinubu in his dedicated efforts to develop the South East region specifically, and Nigeria as a whole.
