Shehu Sani, a former Senator from Kaduna Central, pointed out on Tuesday that the only way to impeach Senate President Godswill Akpabio is for a senator to initiate the process.
This would involve consulting with colleagues and securing enough support to move forward with the impeachment.

However, Sani cautioned that if the attempt to impeach Akpabio fails, the senator who initiated it could face suspension until the next election.
Sani wrote on X: “Removing Akpabio is only possible if a Senator consults his colleagues and gets enough votes to initiate an impeachment.
“If the plot fails, the Senator may go on suspension till the next election.That is it.”
