BREAKING: Details Emerge As Tinubu Summons Buhari, Obasanjo, Jonathan, Others

President Bola Tinubu has called a meeting of the Council of State to tackle urgent national issues.

According to a press statement from the Presidency, the meeting, scheduled for today, Tuesday, will include former Presidents Yakubu Gowon, Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari.

Also in attendance will be former Chief Justices of Nigeria, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, all 36 State Governors, and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.

The statement reads: “President Bola Tinubu Summons Council of State Gowon, IBB, Abdusalami, Obasanjo, Jonathan, Buhari Others for a meeting today.

“The Council of State consists of the following persons: the President, who is the Chairman; Vice-President, who is the Deputy Chairman; all former Presidents of the Federation and all former Heads of the Government of the Federation.

“All former Chief Justices of Nigeria; President of the Senate; Speaker of the House of Representatives; all the Governors of the states of the Federation; the minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.”
