Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Approves 300% Pay Rise For Judicial Officers

Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the 300% pay rise for judicial officers president Bola Tinubu approved today.

The 300% pay rise was made possible after President Bola Tinubu signed the Judicial Office Holders Salaries and Allowances Bill into law.

In June, the National Assembly approved a bill that provides a 300 percent salary increase for judicial officers at both federal and state levels.

This followed the review and approval of an executive bill proposed by the President, which aimed to enhance salaries, allowances, and other benefits for judicial officers and staff.

The executive bill forwarded by the President was titled “A Bill for an Act to Prescribe the Salaries, Allowances and Fringe Benefits of Judicial Office Holders in Nigeria and for Related Matters”.

Sani took to X (Twitter) to react to the 300% pay rise for judicial officers as approved by Tinubu.

He wrote: The 300 percent salary increase for judicial office holders is commendable.
