The blackout is scheduled to occur from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is necessary for maintenance work on the 60 megavolt-amperes transformers and switchgear at the Lokoja 330/132/33-kilovolt Transmission Substation.

“Consequently, Abuja DisCo will not be able to offtake bulk power supply from the transformer for its customers in LOKOJA TOWN, CBN, KOTON KARFE and environs.

“Please note that bulk power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance is completed”, TCN stated.
