List Shows Late Ifeanyi Ubah On APC Campaign Team For Edo Governorship Election

Ifeanyi Ubah, the Nigerian lawmaker who passed away on July 27, 2024, is listed on the campaign roster of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State.

Ubah, who represented Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, died in the United Kingdom.

He had traveled there to attend his son’s graduation from a university, and it was reported that he was also scheduled for surgery at the time of his death.

His passing was unexpected, with no prior indications of illness.

Despite his recent death, Ubah’s name appears on the APC’s National Campaign Council list, specifically within the finance committee chaired by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

His name is listed 23rd on the roster, which was finalized nearly a month after his death.

The council’s list, organized into seven sub-committees, was signed by APC National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu. The sub-committees include contact and mobilization, security, election monitoring, youth mobilization, media and publicity, election management and strategy, and finance.

The council is chaired by Governor Bassey Ottu of Cross River State, with Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina serving as Co-chairman.
