The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied any connection to a poster circulating on social media that suggests he will run for the presidency in the 2027 election with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as his running mate.
The poster features Ganduje in blue Babariga as the APC presidential candidate and Uzodimma in white attire with a red cap as his running mate, with the caption: “The Winning Team 2027. Vote APC 2027. For Nigerians, prosperity and human development.”

In a statement released by his spokesman, Edwin Olofu, on Sunday in Abuja, Ganduje rejected the poster suggesting he plans to run for president in 2027 under the APC banner.
The former Governor of Kano State condemned the poster as false and malicious, alleging that its purpose was to create discord between him and President Bola Tinubu.
Ganduje, who reaffirmed his loyalty to the president, emphasized that Tinubu is guiding the country toward greatness and urged the public to ignore the fabricated story.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the poster currently circulating on social media, claiming that the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, is contesting for the presidency in 2027 with Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as his running mate, is entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.
“The All Progressives Congress wishes to categorically state that this is the work of mischief-makers, likely in collaboration with certain elements within the Kwankwassiyya movement, who are determined to create disaffection between Dr. Ganduje and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje remains unwaveringly loyal to President Tinubu and is fully committed to supporting the President’s vision and leadership. Dr. Ganduje believes that President Tinubu is on the right trajectory to steer Nigeria towards greater prosperity and unity.”
