The state director also announced that the agency has planned a meeting later this week with the leadership of the association of agrochemical dealers to discuss the risks associated with chemicals in food.

” In Bauchi, we will engage the dealers of Agro chemicals against the use of Dictholoruvis and Paraquat chemicals to store food as we approach harvest period.

“These are dangerous chemicals that have been banned over time,” he added.

Kamai urged bakers and packaged water producers to renew their licenses within the required two-year timeframe.

He warned that failure to do so could lead to penalties that might impact their business operations.

Additionally, Kamai encouraged small and medium enterprises to register their products with NAFDAC to facilitate their entry into Nigerian markets.
