President Bola Tinubu has expressed his deep condemnation of the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of Alhaji Isa Bawa, the District Head of Gatawa in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Alhaji Bawa was kidnapped weeks ago on the Sokoto-Sabon Birni Road while returning from an event. He was later seen in a distressing 59-second video, bound and pleading for help from the state government and his supporters.
In a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tinubu called the attack on the traditional ruler “deeply disturbing” and described it as a “heinous act” that demands a strong response.
