Uzodimma Reveals What Nobody Can Accuse Him Of As Public Office Holder

On Thursday, Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma asserted that no one can accuse him of corruption during his tenure as a public official.

Speaking at the Michael Okpara Leadership Lecture and Award 2024 at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, Uzodinma advised public officeholders to adhere to their legitimate means and avoid corrupt practices.

He attributed the rampant corruption in Nigeria to an excessive pursuit of wealth and a lack of discipline.

In his lecture titled “Service Above Others: Lessons from the Leadership Philosophy of Michael Okpara,” Uzodinma emphasized the importance of political leaders emulating the late Premier of Eastern Nigeria to foster national prosperity.

Additionally, Uzodinma announced that the ongoing rehabilitation of the Egbema power plant is on track and is expected to be completed and commissioned in the first quarter of 2025.

He highlighted that the project is crucial for providing 24-hour electricity across the state.

Among the guests at the event were Cross River State Governor Prince Bassey Otu, Ebonyi State Deputy Governor Patricia Obila, former First Lady Patience Jonathan, and various past and present lawmakers.
