Eighteen-year-old debutant Endrick added the final touch, scoring in added time with a powerful shot inside the near post.
Valverde had shifted the game’s momentum in the 50th minute with a deflected low shot past Hein to open the scoring.
The first half saw Valladolid’s deep defense neutralize the threats of Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo, but the game opened up as Valladolid pushed for an equalizer.
Despite several promising runs from Mbappe, he couldn’t mark his debut with a goal.
Real Madrid, who had drawn 1-1 with Mallorca in their La Liga opener, will next face Las Palmas on Thursday.
