VfL Wolfsburg Vs Bayern Munich Full Time Match Report

A late goal from Serge Gnabry secured Bayern Munich a 3-2 Bundesliga win at VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday, giving new coach Vincent Kompany a victorious start.

Wolfsburg started brightly, but Bayern created more opportunities in the first half, taking the lead through Jamal Musiala, who tapped in after a strong run and assist by Sacha Boey.

The second half saw a shaky start for Bayern, as Tiago Tomas was fouled by Boey, leading to a penalty that Lovro Majer converted.

Despite Bayern creating numerous chances, Wolfsburg goalkeeper Kamil Grabara made several excellent saves to thwart Kane and new signing Michael Olise.

Thomas Mueller, making his 709th competitive appearance for Bayern, energized the team after coming on as a substitute in the 65th minute and played a key role in the victory.

Bayern Munich, who finished third last season and were overshadowed by Bayer Leverkusen, appointed former Burnley manager Kompany to replace Thomas Tuchel.
