Rep Gives Update On Opening Of Borders For Commercial Activities

Mr. Sesi Whingah, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency in the House of Representatives, has assured his constituents that Nigeria’s borders will soon be reopened for commercial activities under President Bola Tinubu’s current administration.

Whingah conveyed this message during a Badagry Stakeholders and Youth Engagement event organized by his office on Saturday.

The engagement, themed “Charting A Prosperous Future for Badagry: Unlocking Potential, Empowering People, and Accelerating Progress,” focused on various strategies for local development.

According to the lawmaker, the government is actively exploring ways to boost internal revenue as part of its broader economic strategy.

“This is a policy that we believe needs to be done and will lead to good.

“The current administration will soon open borders for commercial activities; I know it is affecting us and our incomes. I know what my constituents are going through,” he said.
