After opening its first Nigerian office in Lagos recently, American Hospital Dubai plans to establish another in Abuja, the nation’s federal capital.
The Abuja office will, like the Lagos branch, aid Nigerian patients with visas, flights, and accommodation to facilitate access to world-class healthcare in Dubai.
The hospital is also exploring the possibility of additional offices across Nigeria to strengthen its connection with patients and enhance access to advanced medical care.

The Lagos office was inaugurated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos, UAE Consulate General in Nigeria, and Prof. Akin Abayomi, representing Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Prince Tonye Princewill, a board member of American Hospital Dubai Nigeria Limited, noted that these offices will act as the hospital’s embassies in Nigeria.
Princewill said, “Consider it or look at it as the Embassy for the American Hospital. If you want to go to the American Hospital in Dubai and pass through this office, your trip will be seamless.
“It will even make your trip cheaper because I was able to negotiate heavy discount for Africans.”

He explained that the expansion marks the initial phase of American Hospital Dubai’s dedication to investing in Nigeria and enhancing healthcare access for its population.
Discussing future plans, the board member added, “We considered setting up additional representative offices to ensure broader access to our services.
“Just like the Lagos office, the Abuja office will also serve as another healthcare ’embassy’, bridging the gap between enquiries and travel to the American Hospital Dubai for medical treatment. The hospital is quite popular with Nigerians, but we don’t want to take them for granted.”
