Toronto police have arrested Amaka Sonnberger accused of threatening Yoruba and Benin people in an online post.

According to police, they were alerted to the threat on August 28.

She allegedly posted death threats online around August 25.
On Sunday, 46-year-old Amaka Sonnberger was taken into custody.

Amaka Sonnberger faces charges of uttering threats and is set to appear in a Toronto court on Monday.
Authorities are treating the incident as a potential hate-motivated offense.
