Commuters in Ilorin faced considerable difficulties as they struggled to find transportation, with many being forced to walk long distances to reach their destinations.

Taye Dhikhrulahi, a tricycle operator, expressed that making a profit has become secondary to simply covering fuel costs.

He urged the government to take urgent action to prevent the collapse of small businesses and called for federal intervention to help them remain operational.

The protest led to substantial traffic disruptions, with many motorists having to turn back or seek alternative routes.

Businesses along Ibrahim Taiwo Road were also impacted, with some shop owners closing their establishments temporarily.
