Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa has warned that time is running out for notorious bandit leader Bello Turji and other terrorists, as troops intensify their efforts to eliminate insecurity in Zamfara and the North West Zone.
General Musa made this statement during a courtesy visit to Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal.

He also highlighted the recent success of the troops with the killing of Kachalla Halilu Sububu, a bandit leader operating in Western Zamfara.
Sububu was killed in Kwaren Kirya, a community in the Maru local government area.
General Musa announced the launch of a joint military operation, code-named ‘Operation Fansar Yamma Northwest,’ aimed at addressing the escalating insecurity in the region.
He also revealed plans to deploy additional helicopters and other equipment to support the operation.
