BREAKING: FG Approves Promotion Of 20,867 Personnel In Immigration, Civil Defence, Other Para-military Services

The federal government has authorized the immediate promotion of 20,867 senior personnel across various ranks within the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

Additionally, promotions for the Federal Fire Service (FFS) have also been approved.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced these promotions on Friday, September 13. He also revealed that a special promotion has been granted to two NCoS officers, four NIS officers, two NSCDC officers, and one FFS officer.

Breaking down the promotions, Dr. Tunji-Ojo explained that:
– 5,329 officers were promoted in the Nigeria Correctional Service
– 5,112 officers were promoted in the Nigeria Immigration Service
– 9,937 officers were promoted in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
– 489 officers were promoted in the Federal Fire Service

The promotions cover various ranks, including Inspector/Assistant Superintendent, Controllers, Comptrollers, and Commandants across the four services under the Ministry.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo, represented at the briefing by Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed, Secretary of the Board of the Services, also announced that the Board has approved monitoring and evaluation, as well as collaboration with the services on career development courses.

Moreover, the government has approved the implementation of a new training curriculum for the Federal Fire Service’s training institutions and a new Scheme of Service for the FFS.

The Minister also noted that the 2023/24 Federal Fire Service recruitment exercise is expected to be concluded by the end of the month.

Hmmmm the ministry of interior are dancing to gallery these days making innocent Nigerian to belive that they are doing well in batter the lives of the citizens that works in the ministry while the workers use this ministry works under frustration ,those who got their promotion in the year 2022 have not been paid their arrears as we speak ,the ones who got their in year 2023 have not evn been placed to the new rank salary yet some just got promoted series of arreas pilled up unpaid no better staff welfare in fact the workers are only rich on book both in actual fact they live in penury
