BREAKING: NNPC Deploys Over 100 Tankers To Dangote Refinery To Lift Petrol (VIDEO)

Following an agreement with the new Dangote Refinery, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has started mobilizing trucks to the 650,000 barrels per day facility in Lagos in preparation for the loading of petrol.

Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), previously announced in Abuja that NNPC would begin loading petrol from the $20 billion refinery starting Sunday.

A video circulating online shows that NNPC has dispatched hundreds of trucks to the facility, which is expected to produce at least 25 million liters of petrol daily for the local market initially.

According to a separate media report, approximately 500 trucks have been sent to the Dangote refinery.

This move supports NNPC, the sole off-taker under a naira-for-crude sale agreement, in commencing fuel lifting operations.

This effort aims to ensure that petrol is distributed to oil marketers at competitive prices for the Nigerian market.
