This victory marked Forest’s first win at Liverpool in any competition since 1969.

Liverpool entered the game full of confidence after three consecutive wins without conceding a goal and had the better chances in the first half.
Luis Diaz came closest before the break, chasing down a loose ball and firing a shot against the near post from a tight angle.
Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels made a strong save to deny Alexis Mac Allister’s header and was fortunate not to fumble Diaz’s follow-up attempt into his own net.
Forest began to create more after halftime, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga missing the target before Hudson-Odoi delivered his stunning goal.
While Forest fans celebrated, Liverpool struggled to create clear chances to equalize.
