“I write to inform you that the Government has declared 14th R/Awwal, 1446AH (17th September 2024) as a work free day to celebrate the Birthday (Maulud Nabiy) of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

“Jigawa State Government is congratulating all Muslim faithful in Jigawa State and the country at large for this year’s occasion, and we do hope it will be used for sober reflection and strengthen adherence to the teaching and virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) embodied upon service to Allah and Humanity.”

Dagaceri urged state workers to use the holiday for prayers to Allah (S.W.A), seeking His protection and guidance for their leaders, and for peace and progress both in the state and across the country.
