BREAKING: Tinubu Makes Powerful Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ojukaye Amachree as the new Director of Energy Security in the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

In this role, Amachree will be responsible for policy coordination, infrastructure protection strategies, data management, security coordination, risk advisory, and forging strategic alliances within the energy sector.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by Zakari Mijinyawa, Head of Strategic Communications in the ONSA, and released in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mijinyawa noted that this appointment is part of the government’s commitment to ensuring a stable, sustainable, and secure energy supply for all Nigerians.

“In this new role, Hon. Amachree will oversee key national energy security initiatives aimed at enhancing energy security as well as strengthen community participation in safeguarding Nigeria’s energy resources to support short and long term energy sustainability,” the statement partly read.

He highlighted that Amachree brings over 20 years of experience in business, politics, and the energy sector, demonstrating a strong leadership record in both public and private sectors, especially in the Niger Delta.

Mijinyawa stated that Amachree will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including government ministries, security agencies, and energy sector regulators.

Additionally, he will engage with international partners and community leaders to address Nigeria’s current and future energy challenges with innovative solutions.

Mijinyawa also noted that the new appointee holds degrees in Management and is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.

He added, “The appointment underscores President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening energy security and resilience, while addressing supply chain concerns.
