Abuja, Port Harcourt Airports Win International Awards

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport in Nigeria have been honored by the Airports Council International (ACI Africa) for their outstanding commitment to airport emergency management and resilience.

According to a statement from the office of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, signed by Senior Adviser on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, the awards were presented during the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa, held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The awards were handed over by ACI Africa’s Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and its President, Emmanuel Chaves.

The statement added, “The prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of everyone involved in ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, especially the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN.

“Nigeria’s aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, which underscores the dedication to providing secure and efficient travel experiences.”
