The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the Edo State election, Asue Ighodalo, has won at his polling unit.
Ighodalo, who voted at Polling Unit 003 in his hometown, Ewohimi Community, secured 200 out of the 246 total votes cast.

His main challenger, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Monday Okpebholo, received 45 votes, while other political parties did not score any votes.
The polling unit had a total of 979 registered voters, but only 246 turned up for accreditation.
