The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the results of the Edo State governorship election as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Acting National Chairman, Amb. Umar Damagum, made this declaration during a media briefing in Abuja on Monday.

He asserted that the people of Edo State had voted for the PDP’s candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, and expected him to be announced as the governor-elect.
Damagum urged INEC to use the remaining window in the Electoral Act to rectify its actions and reverse the outcome. He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of conspiring with “the compromised INEC and the AIG of Police in charge of the zone,” to manipulate the process long before they executed their plot”.
