Details Emerge As Buhari Meets Gowon In London (PHOTOS)

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has embarked on a brief trip to London, United Kingdom, for undisclosed reasons.

During his visit, Buhari took time to meet with former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd), at Gowon’s London residence on Saturday.

Buhari’s media aide, Buhari Sallau, shared photos from the visit on his Facebook page, writing: “During his short trip to the United Kingdom, former President Muhammadu Buhari visited a notable elder statesman, General Yakubu Gowon, at his London residence.”

Since leaving office on May 29, 2023, Buhari has been residing in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

General Gowon, who served as Nigeria’s Head of State from 1966 to 1976, recently traveled to the UK for some rest.
