The Accountant General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein, in a memo to the Budget Office, stated that civil servants would receive the updated wage from September.

In addition, Edo, Lagos, and Adamawa states have already started paying the new salary, while Anambra has pledged to implement the minimum wage in October.
