In a message sent to customers on Tuesday, the company stated that the rate hike will affect both existing and new subscribers.

Additionally, the mobile global (Global Roam) package will now be available for ₦717,000.
According to the message, the new rates will take effect immediately for new customers and will apply to existing users starting October 31, 2024.
The company attributed the price increase to “excessive levels of inflation,” which necessitated an adjustment of service fees to align with current economic conditions.
“Your monthly service price will increase in one month, starting from 31 October 2024. For new customers, the price increase takes effect immediately,” the message read.
The company also stated that customers who choose to discontinue the service can cancel at any time without incurring any penalties.
