Details Emerge As Obasanjo, 20 State Governors Set To Storm Kano

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is set to chair a high-level workshop in Kano State aimed at agricultural transformation through the Kano State Agro Pastoral Development Project (KSADP), which is funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

The workshop, themed “Agricultural Transformation and What Works: Reflections from the Crop Value Chain of the Kano State Agro Pastoral Development Project (KSADP),” will take place from October 7-8.

It is organized by the Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) in collaboration with the IsDB and the Kano State Government.

The event aims to showcase the successes of the KSADP project and promote discussions on extending similar initiatives to other states across the country.

According to the organizers, the workshop will be attended by 20 state governors, representatives from 10 African countries, and leaders from the IsDB headquarters in Jeddah, along with SAA officials from Tokyo and the USA. Mr. Obasanjo will lead the discussions at the Kano State Government House, which will also include a field tour.

“The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, will host Obasanjo and the governors from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kwara, Kogi, Oyo, Ogun, Kwara, Enugu, Cross River, Benue, Gombe, Yobe, Zamfara, Niger, and Katsina states, Akwa Ibom, among others, Federal MDAs,” a statement issued Tuesday by SAA’s communication officer, Moses Nongoatse, noted.
