Kamala Harris Drinks Beer On Late Night TV

If Kamala Harris wins the US election, she’s made one thing clear: the White House would welcome its first beer-loving president in eight years.

Unlike Donald Trump and Joe Biden, both of whom are teetotalers, Harris revealed on late-night TV that she enjoys the occasional brew.

During an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday, the Democrat cracked open a can of Miller High Life at the host’s suggestion.

“Elections are won on vibes, and people want someone they can have a beer with,” Colbert said. “So, would you like to have a beer with me so I can tell people what that’s like?”

Before handing her the drink, Colbert revealed that his team had checked ahead to ensure it was appropriate. As Harris accepted the 4.6% beer, known for its “easy-drinking flavor,” she shared that the last time she had one was with her husband, Doug Emhoff, at a baseball game. “Cheers,” she said, cracking the can.

Colbert, referencing the beer’s origin, added, “From the beautiful city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin,” a key swing state in the upcoming 2024 election. Harris chimed in with the brand’s slogan, “The champagne of beers,” quoting its tagline.

This lighthearted moment was part of a broader media tour for Harris, including appearances on “The View” and an in-depth interview with Howard Stern. Colbert’s show, known for mocking Donald Trump, provided a friendly platform for Harris to drive home her message.

When asked about Trump’s refusal to accept his 2020 election loss, Harris didn’t hold back. “When you lose millions of jobs, lose manufacturing, lose automotive plants, and lose the election, what does that make you? A loser,” she quipped, laughing as she added, “This is what happens when I drink beer.”
