Nigeria Takes Action On Libyan Diplomat Over ‘Maltreatment’ Of Super Eagles In Libya

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Libyan chargé d’affaires in Nigeria due to the mistreatment of the Super Eagles in Libya following an unexpected diversion of their flight.

Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar informed State House correspondents that efforts are being made to refuel the aircraft and ensure the swift return of the national football team to Nigeria.

Ambassador Tuggar emphasized that Nigerian authorities are in direct contact with the Super Eagles, and officials from the Nigerian mission in Libya have been sent to assist the stranded players and staff.

He also mentioned that the situation is being addressed with a sense of urgency.
