Tinubu Nominates Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu, Six Others As Ministers

President Bola Tinubu’s highly anticipated cabinet reshuffle commenced on Wednesday, resulting in the dismissal of five ministers and the nomination of seven new ones for Senate confirmation.

In addition to the new nominations, the President reassigned ten ministers to different portfolios. Notably, Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu has been nominated as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Nentawe Yilwatda takes over as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, concluding the tenure of the suspended Betta Edu.

Other nominations include Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

The reshuffle also saw the termination of Uju-Ken Ohanenye’s role as Minister of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John as Minister of Tourism, Tahir Mamman as Minister of Education, Abdullahi Gwarzo as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Jamila Ibrahim as Minister of Youth Development.
