Hon. Aliyu Ahman-Pategi, a former representative for the Edu/Patigi federal constituency in Kwara State, has passed away.
He would have celebrated his 60th birthday on December 31.
Ahman-Pategi served in the House of Representatives for 12 years and was a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2019 elections.

He founded Ahman-Pategi University in Kwara North and died on Thursday in Abuja.
News of his death has spread rapidly on social media, particularly in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
His political associate, Alh Razaq Lawal, shared the news on Facebook, and the Ahman-Pategi family also released a brief statement confirming his passing.
The statement reads: “Innalillahi waina ilahi raj’una, Hon. Aliyu Bahago Is Dead
“May Hon. Aliyu Bahago’s soul rest in peace. He was a notable figure in Nigeria, serving as a member of the House of Representatives and Pro- chancellor of Ahman Pategi University in Patigi, Nigeria.
“His contributions to education and politics will be remembered. May his family and loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.”
