Manchester United Sacks Manager Ten Hag

Manchester United has parted ways with manager Erik ten Hag after two and a half years at the helm.

The decision was communicated to the Dutchman by the club’s board on Monday morning, just hours after the team’s loss to West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who came on board as Ten Hag’s assistant last summer, has been appointed as the interim manager.

Following the 2-1 defeat to West Ham, United now sits 14th in the Premier League, having secured only three wins from their first nine matches, and is currently in 21st place out of 36 in the Europa League standings.
