Originally set to take place on Tuesday in the Senate, the screening will now be held on Wednesday, according to a statement by Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate Matters.
Last Wednesday, President Tinubu dismissed five ministers and submitted seven new nominees for Senate approval. Additionally, he reassigned ten ministers to new portfolios.
Among the nominees, Tinubu has named Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, thereby officially ending the suspended tenure of Betta Edu.
Other nominees include Maigari Dingyadi for Minister of Labour and Employment, Jumoke Oduwole for Minister of Industry, Idi Maiha for the new Ministry of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.
