Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, representing Abia South District, affirmed Bianca’s competence and potential to excel in the role, commending President Bola Tinubu for appointing the “mother” of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as a minister.
“By bringing an APGA figure into the ministerial cabinet, the President has already initiated a unity government and national integration,” Abaribe remarked.
Following this, the nominee was asked to take a bow.
Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu is a distinguished diplomat, lawyer, businesswoman, and former beauty pageant winner.
In 2011, then-President Goodluck Jonathan appointed her as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs, after which she served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ghana and later to the Kingdom of Spain.
She also represents Nigeria at the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
Widow of the late Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca has earned multiple international pageant titles.
