Cristiano Ronaldo missed a stoppage-time penalty, leading to his Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr’s elimination from the King’s Cup after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Al Taawoun.
Despite joining the club nearly two years ago, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still searching for his first major trophy with Al Nassr.
Since his December 2022 arrival, Ronaldo has scored an impressive 73 goals in 82 appearances for the team.

The loss also marks head coach Stefano Pioli’s first defeat since the Italian took over from Luis Castro in September.
Ronaldo and Al Nassr still have two remaining chances for silverware this season.
However, they trail league leaders Al Hilal by six points after eight matches and have collected seven points from three games in the Asian Champions League group stage.
