‘Bomb Threats’ Briefly Disrupt Voting At Georgia Polling Locations

Non-credible bomb threats briefly halted voting at two polling locations in Fulton County, Georgia, on Tuesday morning.

Five threats led to a 30-minute evacuation at C.H. Gullatt Elementary and Etris Community Center in Union City, southwest of Atlanta, according to Nadine Williams, the county’s elections director.

Voting resumed with increased security, and officials plan to seek a court order to extend polling hours.

South Fulton Police also conducted precautionary sweeps, although no schools were directly threatened.

Margaret Huang of the Southern Poverty Law Center commended Fulton’s swift response and commitment to secure voting.
