Supreme Court Dismisses Suit Challenging Establishment Of EFCC Act

The Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by several state Attorneys General challenging the establishment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Act.

The lawsuit, originally filed by the attorneys general of 16 states, aimed to dismantle the anti-corruption agency.

While several states later withdrew from the case, others requested to join as co-plaintiffs.
