President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the appointment of Jami’u Abiola as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters, effective from November 14, 2024.
In a statement issued by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information & Public Relations, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the appointment is made in accordance with the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act of 2008, as amended.

Prior to this appointment, Jami’u Abiola served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.
President Tinubu has tasked the appointee with collaborating closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leveraging his extensive experience to effectively carry out his new responsibilities.
