According to reports, the young woman suddenly slumped and was quickly rushed to the camp clinic for medical attention.
She was subsequently transferred to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi for further treatment.
Despite the best efforts of doctors to revive her, she was pronounced dead.
Kebbi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Muhammad Fingila, confirmed the incident in an interview with newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
He stated that her remains have been sent back to her home state of Adamawa. Expressing sorrow over the unfortunate event, Fingila extended his condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the Kebbi State government.
Efforts to reach officials of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kebbi for a statement on the incident were unsuccessful, as the state office spokesperson, Mrs. Hadiza, did not respond to calls or reply to a text message seeking comment.
