Obi was warmly welcomed back into the APC by the State party’s expanded executives, led by Macdonald Ebere, after formalizing his membership at both the ward and Local Government Area (LGA) levels.
In his address, Obi expressed that he was motivated to rejoin the APC due to the significant infrastructural development efforts under Governor Hope Uzodinma.
He also thanked the state party leadership, particularly Ebere, for their outstanding leadership, which he believes contributed to the APC’s impressive performance at the grassroots level, as demonstrated in the recent LGA elections.
The former lawmaker reassured the APC executive members of his unwavering support and loyalty to the party.
Responding to Obi’s return, the State Chairman of APC expressed gratitude for his decision to rejoin the party.
Numerous political figures from Ideato South accompanied Obi to the event.
Notably, Obi’s political journey has seen him move between several parties: starting with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), then joining the APC, followed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and now returning to the APC.
