Court Grants Dele Farotimi ₦30m Bail

Human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi has been granted bail in the sum of ₦30 million by a Magistrate Court in Ekiti State.

Farotimi, who is currently held in a correctional centre in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, arrived at the Magistrate Court premises at around 9:45 am on Friday.

He was transported to the court in a prison van, accompanied by a police escort.

Upon arrival, he stepped out of the vehicle, raising his hands in gratitude to the cheering crowd outside the court.
