DR Congo President Makes Changes At Top Of Armed Forces

President Félix Tshisekedi has appointed a new army chief as part of a reshuffle within the armed forces, which are currently engaged in efforts to repel a rebel offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

Lieutenant General Jules Banza Mwilambue has been named the new head of the general staff, according to a decree signed on Monday and announced on state television Friday.
