Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, has dismissed rumors claiming that he has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a response posted on his verified X handle (formerly Twitter), El-Rufai urged the public to disregard the false rumors regarding his political affiliation.

He also stated that he has referred those spreading the fake news to his lawyers for legal action.
“Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” he wrote on Sunday.
