Tinubu Reacts As Dimeji Bankole Loses Mother

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences over the passing of Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, the mother of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Oladimeji Bankole.

The Iya Adinni of Egbaland, who was 78, died on Thursday following a brief illness.

In a statement released by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday, the President extended his sympathies to the Bankole family and the people of Ogun State.

He described the late Alhaja Bankole as a woman of exceptional virtue, who devoted her life to community service and upheld the principles of her Islamic faith.

“Alhaja Monsurat Bankole’s life was a testament to compassion, generosity, and humility.

“She touched countless lives with her unwavering commitment to the betterment of her community. Her legacy will remain a beacon of inspiration to those who knew her,” the President noted.

The President also prayed for her soul’s eternal rest, asking Almighty Allah to grant her peace and offer comfort to her loved ones during this challenging time.
