The middle-aged man was alleged to be urinating while standing in the midst of the railway tracks, wearing an earphone on both ears.

According to a witness, despite the train’s loud horn and passersby shouting warnings, the man was unable to hear due to his earphone.

Passers-by who gathered around the lifeless body reported that the man committed suicide.

Another witness identified the deceased as a dealer with a shop in the Moyosore shopping complex.

He stated that the deceased was on the phone with three other people who were moving along the railway tracks when they heard the train horn and fled.

The deceased’s body was still lying on the ground in front of his closed shop, and there were desperate attempts to contact his relatives.

According to sources, police were brought in to evacuate the corpse while efforts were made to notify the family.

According to a Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) source who confirmed the train accident, the victim’s identification has yet to be determined.
