Okpebholo Assigns Portfolios To Six New Commissioners

On Tuesday, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo handed portfolios to six freshly sworn-in commissioners, asking them to commence their duties as soon as possible in order to speed up the state’s development.

Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government, released a statement announcing the appointments and emphasising the necessity of their prompt assumption of office.

The statement read, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in six commissioners into the State Executive Council.

“The newly sworn-in commissioners and their portfolios are, Paul Ohonbamu – Ministry of Information and Communication, Dr. Washington Osifo – Ministry of Water Resources and Energy, Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu – Ministry of Education, Lucky Eseigbe – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Andrew Ijegbai – Ministry of Mining,, Marie Olabisi-Idaomi – Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.”

“All commissioners are expected to resume at their various ministries with immediate effect.”
